Location Highlights
Albany, New York offers access to major cultural and outdoor destinations, including the New York State Capitol and Washington Park in the city center. The Albany Pine Bush Preserve is about 15 minutes from downtown and features over 20 miles of trails in a rare inland pine barrens ecosystem. Saratoga Spa State Park is roughly 40 minutes north and the Hudson River waterfront connects visitors to walking paths, river views, and seasonal events. Albany also provides Amtrak service at Albany-Rensselaer Station and is about 2.5 hours from both New York City and the Adirondack region.
